1. Take turns hugging the icy North Pole.
2. Drive 1000 feet from the house in an air conditioned vehicle to the famous swimming hole and submerse your body into the refreshing Au Sable River.
3. Decide you are not leaving "Heaven on Earth" anytime soon and finally turn into a swimmer after 32 years.
4. Don't cook, go to A&W for dinner and drink Root Beer Floats.
5. Repeat step 3, walk down to the river for a quick dip before bed and wait for the sun to go down.

You just hit the nail on the head. The best thing about living in Jay was driving down towards Upper Jay, throwing the tubes in the river, and floating back to the house. And of course, who wants to cook in the summer heat, so you head on down to A&W! But don't forget the ice cream! Aw, the simpler days...
You are so lucky to have a natural swimming hole nearby. Our pond across the street is the same colour as the grass and local ponds and lakes are mostly part of Manchester's drinking water supply or cost money to access.
The heat wave is killing us too.
